You will even start to see your mood improve considerably. For the most benefit, go outside and walk. Breathe in the fresh air around you and take in the beauty of nature. Take a buddy with you for walks. You will be genuinely surprised how far you can walk when you have someone to talk to.
If you have room in your home, get a treadmill. Treadmills and similar exercise machines are growing in popularity, and they can really mimic ordinary physical exercises like walking, running and biking. Put on some great music, and keep the pace. Making walking a daily ritual will benefit your life immensely.
If you are trying to lose weight and keep it off, walking is one of the best ways to reach your goals. Set aside 20 to 30 minutes at least three to five times a week. Stick to this schedule for at least three months. You will start to build healthy muscle tone, and you will find that everyday aches and pains will dissipate.
If you spend at least a few days a week walking outside, you will reap the benefits of the sun’s gift of vitamin D, and you will elevate your mood. This can even contribute to a better outlook and quality of life for you. Why pay for an expensive gym membership, along with the price of clothes and gas, when you have the easy convenience of setting your own pace and doing what comes naturally. Try combining your walking routines with another physical activity, and you will benefit even more.
Get yourself a good pedometer to keep track of how far you are walking. You will amaze yourself! I also take my iPod shuffle with me when I walk. I listen to motivational books, and music sometimes.
